Best AI tools for intercompany accounting

Intercompany accounting covers billing between entities, transfer pricing entries, matching both sides of each balance, eliminating them on consolidation, and netting and settling the cash across currencies.

Each tool here covers a different share of that cycle: eliminations inside consolidation, netting and in-house banking on the treasury side, or an AI agent layer for matching and eliminations on top of the ERPs you already have.

1ChatFin

chatfin.ai

ChatFin is an AI agent platform for finance and accounting teams that connects to a company's existing ERP and runs close, AP, reconciliation and reporting work, routing each posting to a named approver.

Best for

Multi-entity groups that want intercompany accounts matched and the close coordinated across entities on the ERPs they already run.

What it does

  • Matches transactions across bank statements, ledgers and intercompany accounts, and flags and prioritizes exceptions.
  • Agents draft journal entries and accruals, a person approves before anything posts to the ERP, and every action is logged for audit.

AI features

Automation AI
Module that runs multi-step workflows such as AP processing and multi-entity close coordination, with human approval gates and exception routing.
Compliance AI
Module that tracks SOX controls, expense policies, vendor limits and approval thresholds and flags exceptions.

Connects to

Oracle NetSuite, Oracle Fusion Cloud, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, SAP Business One, SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Sage Intacct, Acumatica, QuickBooks Online, Workday, Snowflake, Epicor Kinetic, Infor CloudSuite, Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT.

Connects through each system's own APIs (for example SuiteQL for NetSuite, Service Layer for SAP Business One, AIS for JD Edwards) under a dedicated service account that keeps the ERP's role permissions, and queries data in place rather than copying it.

The About page says on-premise and hybrid ERP setups are supported.

Pricing

No pricing is published; ChatFin sells through demos, and its free trial page says the trial is open to selected companies only.

Watch out for

The pages we checked describe intercompany matching and multi-entity close coordination, not netting, settlement or elimination entries, so ask how those are handled.

2OneStream

OneStream (private; acquired by Hg in April 2026). onestream.com

A finance platform that combines consolidation, account reconciliations, transaction matching, journals, planning and reporting.

Best for

Large groups with complex entity hierarchies that want intercompany eliminations, currency translation and consolidation in one system with planning.

What it does

  • Intercompany eliminations run automatically at the first common parent in every alternate hierarchy, with unresolved differences posted to a plug account.
  • Each party and counterparty can view local, counterparty and reporting currencies at once to resolve differences, with pre-built intercompany status reports.

AI features

SensibleAI Account Reconciliations
Pre-built AI models that flag anomalies, missing documentation and unusual patterns in reconciliations early in the close.

Connects to

Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics.

Pricing

Not published.

3Oracle Cloud EPM Financial Consolidation and Close

Oracle Corporation (NYSE: ORCL). oracle.com

Oracle's consolidation and close module in Fusion Cloud EPM.

Best for

Multinationals on Oracle Cloud ERP or Oracle Cloud EPM that want intercompany eliminations and disputes handled inside the consolidation.

What it does

  • Automates default intercompany eliminations, with configurable matching rules and elimination logic; unmatched items are routed for resolution with context attached.
  • Currency translation using PVA for flow accounts and VAL for balances, automated FX and CTA calculations, and ownership and minority interest management.

AI features

Intercompany Agent

Connects to

Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, Fusion AI Agent Studio, Oracle Cloud EPM Data Management, Oracle Enterprise Data Management.

Pricing

Not published; the datasheet tells buyers to contact their Oracle account manager.

Watch out for

The datasheet covers eliminations and matching but describes no intercompany invoicing, netting or settlement, and the Consolidation Process Assistant needs Fusion AI Agent Studio plus a 'Data Retrieval Diagnosis' setting enabled.

4Kyriba In-House Banking and Netting

Kyriba. kyriba.com

Kyriba's treasury modules for running an internal bank: cash pooling, intercompany lending and multilateral netting across entities.

Best for

Group treasury teams that want to cut intercompany payment volumes through netting and run intercompany lending and cash pools across currencies.

What it does

  • Intercompany netting that routes all flows through the in-house bank to reduce payment volumes, with multi-tier netting hierarchies.
  • Payments and collections on behalf of subsidiaries, with reconciliation of intercompany activity and due-to and due-from positions across all subsidiaries.

AI features

Kyriba TAI (Trusted AI)
Agentic assistant inside Kyriba that answers plain-language questions on treasury data, analyzes variances and cross-checks payment status against bank confirmations; sensitive actions need explicit approval.

Connects to

SAP, Oracle Cloud, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Workday, SWIFT.

Pricing

No prices published.

Watch out for

Kyriba's pages cover netting, lending, pooling and settlement but not consolidation eliminations or transfer pricing entries, and TAI is a treasury-wide assistant with no intercompany-specific agent named.

Which one fits

  • Your main pain is eliminations across many alternate hierarchies at consolidation

Pick OneStream. OneStream eliminates automatically at the first common parent in every alternate hierarchy and posts unresolved differences to a plug account.

  • Routine intercompany disputes are holding up your Oracle-based close

Pick Oracle Cloud EPM Financial Consolidation and Close. Oracle's Intercompany Agent resolves routine disputes within policy, and unmatched items are routed with context already attached.

  • Treasury wants fewer cross-border intercompany payments

Pick Kyriba In-House Banking and Netting. Kyriba routes intercompany flows through an in-house bank with multi-tier netting and multi-currency cash pools.

  • You want intercompany matching automated without replacing or customizing your ERPs

Pick Nominal. Nominal's Transaction Matching Agents sit on top of existing ERPs, match due-to and due-from activity even when timing or currency differ, and propose journals for approval.

Questions to ask in a demo

  • Show us an intercompany mismatch across two entities in different currencies: how is it found, explained and cleared?
  • Which parts of the cycle do you cover: billing, transfer pricing, matching, eliminations, netting, settlement?
  • What can your AI agent change on its own, and which actions need a person to approve?
  • How do you handle entities on different ERPs and charts of accounts, and what does the mapping work look like?

How we chose

We picked five tools for the job and checked every capability, integration and price on the vendor's own pages on 16 October 2026, or on a filing or news report. Figures are the vendors' own claims unless noted. We looked at ten candidates across consolidation, treasury and AI agent products.

One was dropped because its product pages blocked our checks, two appear in our reconciliation guide instead, and one showed no intercompany-specific AI on its accounting page. Two more were not researched in depth. ChatFin's entry uses facts from its own pages, checked on 9 October 2026.
