Best financial consolidation software
Consolidation turns the books of every entity into one set of group accounts: it eliminates intercompany balances, translates foreign currency and works out who owns what. The tools here do that work in different places.
Four run it on a dedicated platform, and one runs it from Excel. Their AI features so far explain results, flag exceptions, help write rules and expose group data to other AI tools. Posting and signing off stay with the accountants.

1
ChatFin
ChatFin works the accounting side of group consolidation and treats reporting as a separate job. It holds the rate basis per line class and entity, computes effective interest through the ownership chain and classifies what is left after elimination before it is posted.
It sits beside a consolidation system and reconciles to it.
Best for
Group controllers who already run a consolidation system and want translation reserves, ownership chains and elimination residuals checked before the books close.
What it does
- Holds currency translation rate bases per line class and entity, so the cumulative translation reserve is built from its components and not derived as a residual.
- Computes non controlling interest as effective interest through the whole ownership chain.
- Classifies elimination residuals before posting, so that only unrealised profit lands as a consolidation adjustment.
- Surfaces entities where the holding percentage and the accounting treatment disagree, for the group controller to review.
AI features
- AI agents for financial consolidation
- Work the accounting of consolidation: translation, ownership and elimination residuals, leaving the control judgement to the person who signs it.
Connects to
IFRS 10, ASC 810.
The page describes the checks it runs and says it reconciles to the consolidation system of record; it does not list which ERPs it reads or how.
Pricing
No pricing is published; ChatFin sells through demos, and its free trial page says the trial is open to selected companies only.
Watch out for
The page says ChatFin does not determine control, cannot recreate historical rates that were never recorded, and does not replace a consolidation tool, which stays the book of record.
2
OneStream
OneStream calls itself the AI operating system for modern Finance, with one platform for the financial close, planning and operational data.
Best for
Large multi-entity groups that want consolidation, reconciliations and journals on one platform with prebuilt connectors to their ERPs.
What it does
- Global consolidations with intercompany eliminations, currency translations and management of acquisitions, to US GAAP and IFRS.
- Advanced foreign currency and cash flow tools.
AI features
- AI-Powered Account Reconciliations
- Reduces reconciliation effort and flags anomalies and potential control breakdowns early.
Connects to
Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics.
Pricing
No prices published; the page offers a demo sign-up.
Watch out for
The page gives no system requirements or limits, and its figures, such as a 54% average time saving, come without method or source, so ask for customer references with a group like yours.
3Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM
Oracle. docs.oracle.com
Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM includes Financial Consolidation and Close, sold in an EPM Standard and an EPM Enterprise subscription.
Best for

- Equity pickup and support for complex ownership structures, in both subscriptions.

Connects to
Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM.

Not published.
Watch out for
Oracle's subscription page says AI, GenAI and Intelligent Performance Management features are exclusive to the EPM Enterprise subscription unless noted, so check which tier holds the assistants you want.
4

No prices published; the page offers a Book a Demo link and an on-demand demo webinar.

The page names no ERPs and no technical prerequisites, so ask which source systems and how many entities have run on the consolidation product.
5Prophix One Financial Consolidation
Prophix. prophix.com
Prophix One Financial Consolidation is described on the page as finance-owned statutory consolidation for multi-entity teams.
Best for

Connects to
Prophix One.

No prices published; the page offers a demo, a product tour and a Book a call option.

Which one fits
Your groups are large and your ERPs are Oracle, SAP or Dynamics
Pick OneStream. Its page names prebuilt connectors with drill-back to those systems, and it adds reconciliations, matching and journals on the same platform.
You already run Oracle and want help writing consolidation rules
Pick Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM. Oracle lists a Calculation Assistant for creating configurable consolidation rules. Oracle's table puts AI features in the Enterprise subscription unless noted.
The accounting team, not IT, owns consolidation across statutory and management views
Pick Planful. Its page describes full and partial consolidations driven by configurable rules, with reconciliations and close tasks in the same platform.
You run IFRS and US GAAP side by side and want finance to change the group structure
Pick Prophix One Financial Consolidation. Its page says IFRS and US GAAP can run in parallel and that finance can update structures without IT. Its Consolidation Agent answers questions from Audit Trail data.
Your team lives in Excel and wants consolidation in a governed engine
Pick Vena Financial Consolidation. It is Excel-native, went generally available on 26 August 2026 and carries workflow, period locking and audit history.
Questions to ask in a demo
- Which ledgers and ERPs have you loaded for a group like ours, and is the load a connector, a file or an API?
- Show an intercompany elimination that does not net to zero: where does the residual go and who reviews it?
- How are historical rates held for equity, and can the translation reserve be built from its components?
- Which AI features sit in the tier we would buy, and which are still in beta?
How we chose
We picked six tools for the job and checked every capability, integration and price on the vendor's own pages on 29 October 2026, or on a filing or news report. Figures are the vendors' own claims unless noted.
We started from seven products and kept the five whose own pages describe eliminations, currency translation and ownership.
One was dropped because its publisher's pages returned HTTP 403 and we could not load them, and another is left out because its public pages route consolidation through a vendor already on our list. Close management tools sit in the close guides.
ChatFin's entry uses facts from its own pages, checked on 29 October 2026.
